Astronomy
is the science dealing with all of the celestial bodies in the universe,
including the planets and their satellites, comets, meteors, stars, and
interstellar matter, star systems known as galaxies, and clusters of galaxies.
Planetarium
is the premiere package for learning astronomy. It's user friendly interface
includes breathtaking visuals that will introduce the universe to you in a way
never possible before.
Planetarium
contains accurate information on stars, galaxies, and planets complete with the
scientific data and vivid photographs taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. All
of the objects shown on the Planetarium screen can be selected and clicked by
using the mouse to display detailed information. Some of the special features of
this program are:
Users can observe
the sky, complete with stars, galaxies, comets, and nebulae from any virtual
position in the world!
Planetarium has hundreds of locations pre-registered for observation.
Users can select a predefined observation location from a list.
Users can add a new observation location to the Planetarium.
20 Million stars included based on GSC (Guide Star Catalog) from NASA. The data
base size is over 100 megabytes! Tips: Set the star brightness mode to
"Auto", and expand into an area of the sky using the zoom tool.
Auto-brightness will increase the brightness of the background stars to fit your
current screen view!
Over 200 galaxies, star
clusters, and nebulae are displayed.
Sun, Moon and the planets are shown with their 3D relative position displayed in
real-time.
The phases of the moon can be displayed in real-time.
Users can add newly discovered comets into the Planetarium view!
88 constellations, complete with full multimedia presentations explaining the
history and facts about each, including background music and graphics.
By setting Auto Mode, the changes in the sky view can be animated along a

updated in real time and is updated automatically.
The Planetarium view can be printed in high resolution.
An easy-to-use user interface with keyboard commands and mouse navigation.
Create your own observation conditions and save them for later reference!
Select several different ways to display objects in the sky.
Display information about an object by right-clicking on it with the mouse.
The Hubble Telescope pictures of the objects can be viewed with sound and
animation.
Our Solar System can be viewed in 3D with an accurate positional representation
of all planets.
Ambient light effects from the earthbound sources such as sunset, and sun rise
can be added to give a more realistic view.
Both the Ecliptic and Equator coordinate systems can be selected for viewing.
